Community Guidelines

Last updated: September 20, 2026

The Pet Grief Relief Community Wall exists so members can honor a pet they have lost alongside others who understand. These guidelines apply to everything shared there.

What the Community Wall is for

The Community Wall is a place to share a memorial for a pet you have lost, if and only if you choose to. Your memorials, journal entries, photo memories and check-ins are private by default and are never shared unless you explicitly publish them.

What we ask of you

• Share only content you created and have the right to share • Keep what you post about your own pet and your own grief • Treat every other member with care — this is a space for people in loss • Respect privacy: do not include other people's names, contact details or images without their permission

What is not allowed

• Harassment, bullying, cruelty or targeting another member • Hateful, abusive or discriminatory content • Threats of any kind, or content encouraging harm or self-harm • Sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate content • Graphic violence, animal cruelty, or content that celebrates harm to animals • Spam, scams, deceptive content, advertising, solicitation or fundraising • Illegal content or the promotion of illegal activity • Misusing another person's memorial, photos or words — including reposting them, mocking them, or presenting them as your own • Impersonation, or sharing another person's private information • Content you do not hold the rights to

Reporting content

Every shared memorial has a Report option. Choose the reason that fits — inappropriate content, a privacy concern, spam, or something else — and add a short note if it helps. Reports are reviewed by a moderator, and the member who reported is never identified to the person who shared the content. You can also block a member from the same menu. Blocking immediately hides their shared memorials from your Community Wall, and you can review or undo your blocks at any time under Blocked members on your Account page.

How we moderate

Shared text is screened when it is published and again whenever it is edited. A shared photo is reviewed by a person before it appears on the Community Wall, and again if it is replaced. Reported content is reviewed by an administrator, who can hide or remove it. Content hidden or removed by a moderator cannot be put back by sharing it again. Repeated or serious violations may end access to community sharing. Moderation only ever affects what is shown publicly. Your private memorial, your photos and your own records stay intact, and a moderator can never publish private content on your behalf.

You stay in control

You can stop sharing any memorial at any time, which removes it from the Community Wall while keeping your private copy. You can also permanently delete your account and its content from the Account page.
